Brian A. Antol

A 34-year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (1987-2021), Brian Antol has extensive experience in the operational management of complex counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and intelligence operations, both domestically and abroad. After completing analytical tradecraft training, he was transferred to the FBI’s National Security Section (renamed Counterterrorism Division after 9/11) where he specialized in counterterrorism and counterintelligence matters.

In 2009, he was promoted to Supervisory Intelligence Analyst and reassigned to the FBI’s Fly Team, a highly trained and specialized cadre of analysts and agents who responded to terrorism attacks worldwide, where he was responsible for supervising a group of analysts in the production and dissemination of sensitive, actionable intelligence to support investigations. He was also responsible for the selection, training, and development of analysts assigned to the Fly Team. Collaborating closely with the Department of Defense, Brian was also instrumental in implementing a streamlined process for FBI human assets to assist the U.S. military with their overseas counterterrorism operations.  In 2013, he spearheaded a team of analysts responding to the Boston Marathon bombings, where he launched the review of witness interview reports and digital media that was crucial to quickly identifying the suspects.
