Jordan Ross is the Special Operations Lead Instructor with The Soufan Group with over 20 years’ experience in high risk and human intelligence (HUMINT) operations.

Jordan Ross is the Special Operations Lead Instructor with The Soufan Group with over 20 years’ experience in high risk and human intelligence (HUMINT) operations.

From 2003-2012, Jordan was a U.S. Navy Special Warfare Operator assigned to SEAL Team 2 as both an assaulter and sniper team leader conducting over 100 high risk special operations in the Middle East and Latin America. While deployed to Iraq in 2007, he was involved in more than fifty JSOC SMU Tier 1 Missions, receiving the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat Valor while under enemy fire. Later he served as a Lead Petty Officer of Special Projects at Naval Special Warfare Training Detachment Group–2. Jordan has worked in covert operations, and strategic analysis in over 50 countries.

Since leaving the Navy in 2012, Jordan worked low profile, mobile security for the U.S. government in Iraq and Afghanistan conducting hundreds of movements throughout active combat zones. Jordan also advised U.S. and foreign governments throughout Africa while working for former U.S. National Security Advisor General Jim Jones.

He later managed a foreign counterterrorism training program in the Arabian Peninsula, facilitated kidnap-and-ransom responses in Mexico, worked as an OSINT analyst on narco-cartel activity throughout Latin America, and worked as a on-ground consultant in South Sudan for several international energy sector clients. His professional certifications include Underwater Demolitions, Airborne, SEAL Qualification, Cold Weather Maritime, Javelin Anti-Armor Missile, Jungle Warfare, Sniper, Combat Driving, Combat Pistol and Rifle, Advanced Navigation, and Drone Operations.

Jordan received his B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and earned his Master’s Degree in Strategic Intelligence. Jordan speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
